I noticed, Sushi, had a purple/red mouth & swollen barbell. My friend brought over her clove oil & we netted him to get him medicated so we could take a closer look. He instantly started bleeding from the gills, out of stress, and it kind of freaked me out.
It really looked bad. This poor ugly guy is my first koi.
	He also had, what looked like, an ulcer.
and we found this on his tail fin.
	Without having a scope, the general consensius of those who know far more than I do, was that Sushi had an ulcer disease or mouth rot. I had ordered some medication to treat the whole pond ($60. dollars, Yikes!) for parasites & was in the process of contacting my vet to see if I could get Baytril to inject him,   when he started looking better.   I knew this was too good to be true. I mean, fish don't have these kinds of problems & just "get better". I have the PraziPro & the ProformC just waiting to treat the pond.  I thought I would give it a little more time to see how he's doing. It's been a week & he's back to normal. Can't figure it out.
